Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Thread Roll Die Tool Maker to join our team at West Coast Aerospace. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining thread roll die tools used in the manufacturing of aerospace components. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop thread roll die tools according to engineering specifications and requirements.
Fabricate thread roll dies using various machining techniques, including milling, turning, and grinding with Mägerle machinery.
Perform precision measurements and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and functionality of thread roll die tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to thread roll die performance and functionality.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize tooling designs and processes for maximum efficiency.
Maintain and repair thread roll die tools to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to uphold the integrity of all manufactured products.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a tool maker or machinist, with expertise in designing and fabricating precision tools.
Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and practices is a plus.
