Our client- an international IPP company with a portfolio of BESS, PV and Wind projects is on a hunt for a candidate who will provide support for GIS-based document and map requests. The Interconnection Engineer manages renewable energy projects and their utility interconnection process.
Main tasks:
Good knowledge of the permitting process is essential for achieving a renewable energy project to RTB status.
Provides active support to project technical due diligence with M&A teams in projects involving Wind, PV, and Storage.
Basic comprehension of project design drawings is required, along with the ability to participate in discussions with designers at the pre-executive design stage. A basic understanding of the necessary technical requirements is also needed.
Responsible for managing the interconnection application process and HV scope for utility-scale PV, Wind, and Storage projects. Should be able to identify reliability and congestion constraints for jurisdictional projects and develop integrated solutions.
Should review and analyse utility pre-screen reports, System Impact Studies, and Interconnection Service Agreements, and manage a portfolio of utility interconnection applications from initial submission through closeout.
Should analyse interconnection due diligence materials to support project acquisition efforts and identify existing and potential red flags.
Should develop single-line diagrams and three-line diagrams for distribution-level and transmission-level Interconnection Applications, electrical permits, and construction documents.
