ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a full-time Sr Analyst/Project Manager to join our Identity Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team that provides staff, students and parents with account management, access management, and password management to IT-supported systems based on their roles within the District. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, flexible about what they are doing, and who enjoys working with a wide variety of people/roles.

Min-Mid Annual Salary Range: $86,688.00 - $103,879.50 Effective as of: 06-16-2023

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT

The successful new hire or rehired candidate will be responsible to complete and incur the fingerprinting and processing fee of $54.50 through an appropriate fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in partnership with District personnel to analyze, identify, and document business needs and provide recommendations for solving business problems utilizing business process improvements and implementation of technical solutions related to the District's business ERP systems. Collaborate with District personnel and external vendors to manage and implement hardware and software solutions that focus on business applications to support school and instructional environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in positions requiring business, functional or technical analysis and project management responsibilities, including working with complex computer systems within functional and/or technical ERP systems.
  • Extract/collect and interpret data from the ERP system to assist in solutions and aid in issue troubleshooting. Report results back to the business owners and/or Student Technology Services to assist in the resolution process.
  • Work alongside various teams and core business partners within the organization to understand their needs and define requirements for implementing technical solutions. Use business analysis techniques to elicit and document all levels of project requirements from business level to functional specifications.
  • Research ERP products and functionality to identify possible solutions for business process improvements and needs. Work with the Student Technology Services team to define level of effort and recommend proposed solutions.
  • Develop and/or execute testing plans for both ERP product maintenance and new development of system solutions. Participate in functional testing during scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Define and manage the implementation of process and technical solutions to meet diverse needs of the District; utilizing project management techniques and skills including: project schedule management, communication management, scope definition management, issue/risk management, budget management, change management, test planning, support planning, and status reporting.
  • Determine relationships between business processes and associated data flows among enterprise applications. Drive business process improvements that reduce errors, manual effort, and cost as data flows across departmental boundaries. Responsible for strategic and tactical planning, focusing on solutions for current and future business data practice problems.
  • Create concise product and solution documentation using a variety of formats that will be referenced by project stakeholders, business customers, IT technical staff and end users.
  • Interface with customers and the Purchasing department to support RFP process when required.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project-related meetings, including planning, status, and user acceptance training. Act as liaison between technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with customers to develop project success criteria. Create and manage project plans to achieve measured success. Lead efforts with customers to determine, refine, and document requirements for data-centric solutions.
  • Report Writing - Create reports to demonstrate business value of discovered business data relationships. Assist other report developers by acting as a resource for report development expertise. Advise, collaborate, influence, negotiate, and communicate with all levels of District employees, both school-based and central. Analyze existing ongoing system maintenance costs. Design and implement new technologies and procedures to reduce these costs.

  • Experience with enterprise reporting tools and application integration platforms, or working in a PreK-12 or public entity environment preferred.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or related degree, or equivalent year for year professional experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Project Management Institute certification for Business Analysis or Project Management preferred.

Preferred qualifications include functional/technical knowledge of ERP systems, PK-12 education environment familiarity, and excellent communication skills. The role entails decision-making impacting various stakeholders and maintaining community relations. Depending on team size, supervisory responsibilities may be assigned. Responsibilities include understanding educational processes, participating in pilot projects, and providing recommendations on product selection. The job involves a mix of new initiatives and supporting existing systems, requiring strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategies into actionable solutions. The physical demands include both sitting and occasional standing, while mental functions involve various cognitive tasks. The work environment may include exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional remote work.
