Hard Goods Product Manager, Kitchen & Dining

Wuensche USA is part of The WÜNSCHE Group, a global sourcing company with over 80 years in the international trading business. We specialize in private label items, both food and non-food. Our headquarters is in Hamburg, Germany and our satellite offices are scattered throughout Europe and Asia, Australia and the U.S. Wuensche USA is in downtown Chicago just steps from Union Station.

We are searching for a Product Manager for our Hard Goods team. Product categories will include (but not limited) to Cookware/Bakeware, Kitchen utensils/gadgets, Kitchen storage, Tableware and Hydration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifeline of a product from product concept to shipment.
  • Communicate daily with buyers in Germany and USA as well as our team merchandisers based in Asia. Must be timely, efficient, and well-spoken with the ability to address issues in a quick yet accurate and resourceful manner.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders in customers portal.
  • Review and process samples. Light shipping duties required.
  • Monitor the market for new product trends and develop regular competitive analysis.
  • Manage the artwork packaging process from design phase to completion including photography and instruction manuals.
  • Develop an internal system for managing fast timelines, while remaining accurate.
  • Act as the gatekeeper/quality control for items being submitted to buyers (samples and artwork).

Qualifications

  • College Degree BA/BS in business or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and intercultural.
  • Superior attention to detail and extremely high-quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to come to conclusions on your own first, but ask for help when needed.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, anticipate and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, and punctual while independently able to solve problems in a fast-paced and time critical environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
