Job Description:

Project Duration: This is a 3-6 month contract-to-hire opportunity

Summary: The Ecommerce Product Manager crafts an overarching vision for the products under their purview, employing a strategic outlook geared towards long-term success. They prioritize understanding customer needs, leveraging data and insights to identify and validate opportunities for enhancing the user experience. Additionally, they foster alignment across diverse teams, articulating the product vision to product owners and analysts. Acting as a central resource for cross-functional product teams, they oversee roadmap management, backlog refinement, and the measurement of ROI and performance outcomes. Furthermore, they champion their product among key stakeholders throughout the organization, advocating for its value and relevance.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervises the whole product lifecycle from idea to implementation
  • Conducts research on how users utilize and enjoy a product, providing insight into what works and what does not, and incorporating within the product roadmap.
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy and vision through close collaboration with stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
  • Defines, measures, and reports KPIs and ROI on initiatives.
  • Creates, communicates, and manages roadmap(s) for use by the Product team and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Conclude what features should be built next on existing products, delivering features that customers not only need but want
  • Advocate and coordinate the product team, partners, and stakeholders to make sure all are aligned around the strategy the product needs to be going on for successful delivery.
  • Works with the scrum team throughout the development process, participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement to communicate and build engagement with the process to create and evolve the product roadmap.
  • Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, roadmaps, and prioritization.
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors and the industry
  • Keep abreast and model Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
  • Acts as a leader within the organization
  • May be involved in production support issues during and after hours

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in product development for particular vertical
  • Intermediate data analysis skills and ability to use tools such as SQL, site analytics, and other tools to source and synthesize data
  • Intermediate knowledge of data modelling/visualization and user interface design
  • Intermediate reporting skills
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent consensus building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills at all levels (senior exec, peers, and end users)
  • Demonstrated experience with prioritization and facilitating trade-offs
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.
