Essential Functions
Responsible for providing molding operations with scheduled quantities of molten iron at the required chemistry
Responsible for the charging of cupola melting system and emission systems including holding furnaces and iron carriers
Monitors iron chemistry for carbon-silicon content
Maintain the melting equipment
Ensure safety of employees
Maintain a safe work environment
Oversee all iron production and iron delays
Principal Duties/Tasks
To keep iron chemistry in the green range
Make sure procedures and work instructions are being followed
Keep track of employee attendance
Issue discipline as needed
To train or oversee training of employees
To maintain production levels as called for
Ensure Cupola operation and related equipment for maximum efficiency in the production of molten iron
