The Accounting Cost Controller is a key management team member, primarily responsible for all financial processes within the business unit; who supports field operations and leads the Accounting Team.
Key responsibilities:
Preparation of the monthly management reporting in line with Vinci Construction USA's procedures and deadlines
Preparation of three annual budgets during the year, including input into SAP
Regular review of business performance in the division, including analysis of variances from the budget
Reconciliation of monthly inventory in line with surveys
Provide support to the operational management in analyzing job performance
Work closely with operational management to develop and prepare WIP reports
Assistance with the annual financial audit process
Provide data for monthly sales and use tax reporting
Regular review of the balance sheet for the division
Review all invoices and billings in accordance with project requirements
Assist and complete month-end process
Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems in accordance with GAAP
Implement and/or improve policies and procedures
Education, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
Construction accounting experience (Preferred)
Experience with SAP accounting software (Preferred)
Strong proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution
Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize key responsibilities

Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs or elevator, as needed;
Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds;
Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that an Associate Counsel may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and asphalt manufacturing facilities is required, construction and asphalt facility visits, may expose position to general construction noise and environmental exposures, within the OSHA permissible exposure level(s)
