As we further refine and develop our software applications and invest in the future, we are looking for a highly organized individual as a talent addition to our finance and accounting team. This position will have a clear path to assistant controller for top performers. The ideal candidate will be an energetic team player with an accounting background, above average tech skills (particularly MS Excel), and experience communicating with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities will include:
Prepare and review Accounts Payable and / or Accounts Receivable invoices.
Communicate with clients and vendors with questions/concerns about their invoices.
Assist the controller during period-end close producing and reviewing financial statements before distribution.
Day-to-day accounting including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and cash application.
Conduct special financial studies and cooperate with cross-functional teams on various projects as needed.
Analyze costs and cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Required Skills:
BS Degree in Accounting, Information Sciences or Business
2+ years of experience in an accounting department
Advanced Excel capability
Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
Desired Skills:
Sage Intacct experience is an ADVANTAGE.
CPA eligibility
Experience with Macola, Ramp, or Paylocity, are a PLUS.
