We are in search of a Controller with hands-on experience in public tax accounting and strong financial management skills. This role is the cornerstone to ensure the integrity of the financials, implement robust control mechanism, and supervise the fund's reporting process. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all financial operations including the accuracy of financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and finance reporting laws
- Managing investor reporting, capital calls/distributions, and other financial reporting mechanisms
- Coordinating with both internal and external auditors for regular audits
- Developing internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in public accounting, ideally with focus on the tax side
- Extensive experience in fund accounting and tax compliance, preferably in the financial services industry
- Mastery of advanced Excel and proficiency with accounting software
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Proven ability to work as a part of a team and independently
