Corporate Tax Manager at KLR in Providence, Rhode Island

Job Description:

• Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
• Review corporate tax returns, and assist in preparation of larger highly complex returns
• Preparation and review of corporate tax provisions, ASC 740
• Knowledge of corporate foreign tax compliance (Forms 5471, 5472's, GILTI)
• Act as a resource for tax staff and senior tax accountants.
• Perform tax research on related client issues.
• Become involved in tax planning for pass-through business clients and the individual taxpayer.
• Prepare BNA projections and become involved in planning for less complex clients.
• Analyze IRS notices and drafts responses.
• Delegate work to tax staff and senior tax accountants and supervises work.
• Participate in tax department administrative projects.
• Act as director-in-charge for personal tax return clients.
• Act as key client contact person for smaller engagements.
• Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field preferred
• 6+ years of accounting experience prior experience in public accounting
• CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), is required
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing, both internally and externally
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology (ProFX Engagement and Axcess knowledge a plus)
