Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities
Prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses of varying complexity.
Adapts to increasingly complex tax engagements over time.
Collaborates effectively with clients, ensuring their expectations are met.
Demonstrates growing proficiency in strengthening client relationships and identifying service opportunities.
Develops knowledge of industry competitors, firm services, and cross-selling potentials.
Corresponds professionally, meeting premier accounting firm standards in communication.
Initiates staff development, delegates tasks efficiently, and shares knowledge within the team.
Identifies engagement issues, collaborates for positive changes, and upholds high-quality work standards.
Actively pursues professional development, completing training hours, and contributing to industry events.
Gains exposure to various entities, industries, and IRS pronouncements.
Conducts research on technical tax issues, adhering to AICPA and Texas Society of CPAs rules and ethics.
Becomes familiar with firm quality control documents, procedures, and required software.
Skills/Abilities:
Possess knowledge of tax regulations in order to answer clients' questions that may arise, under supervision.
Ability to research and solve technical tax issues.

Proficient in client interaction, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism in all forms of correspondence.

Proficiency in tax return preparation, financial reporting, interpretation of KPIs, general ledger transactions, and client accounting systems.
Familiarity with tax planning concepts, basic tax return preparation (sales tax, payroll), and AICPA/Texas Society of CPAs rules and ethic
Conduct all Business activities in agreement with Seidel Schroeder core values.
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting environment.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting or a degree in another discipline with various course works in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level preferred.
Experience working in a professional office is preferred but not required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
Ability to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.
