We are actively recruiting for a Procurement Manager on behalf of a client poised for rapid expansion in the U.S. market. This client is actively searching for a Strategic Sourcing Expert to join their team. With a steadfast dedication to delivering superior quality products at competitive prices, our client is committed to driving innovation and excellence within their industry.
As a Strategic Sourcing Expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving sourcing initiatives to optimize costs and enhance product quality. This role will focus on both new product development and the enhancement of existing product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in strategic sourcing within chemical-based consumer packaged goods (CPG), along with proficiency in copackers and raw materials procurement.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally in chemical-based CPG and raw materials procurement.
Extensive network of copackers and ingredient suppliers within relevant categories.
Proven success in negotiating complex sourcing contracts, with formal negotiation training being a plus.
Strong proficiency in supply and demand management and analysis.
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional business acumen with the ability to assess technical and commercial feasibility of sourcing initiatives.
Knowledge of recycling laws in the U.S. and Mexico would be advantageous.
Familiarity with SAP preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to travel up to 25% within the U.S. and Mexico.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
