Senior Director Reliability Centered Maintenance

What Will You Do?

The Senior Director Reliability Centered Maintenance will direct organizational activities for all Ashley domestic and international facilities. This position is responsible for staffing and development of personnel while maintaining and adhering to maintenance budgets, reducing maintenance costs, new equipment commissioning, maintenance record keeping, and development of preventative maintenance programs. In addition, this position is responsible for working with plant directors in all locations to achieve maximum utilization of their equipment while evaluating and installing new technology to assist in the attainment of facility and organization objectives.

  • manage and oversee all direct leadership of Facility and Maintenance Management, as well as the indirect maintenance management in all manufacturing locations.
  • for the oversight of the manufacturing maintenance processes and budgets.
  • the reduction of manufacturing maintenance costs in all facilities through corrective and/or preventive maintenance programs.
  • with Purchasing regarding vendor selection, in support manufacturing maintenance activities.
  • with plant directors in all locations to achieve maximum equipment utilization.
  • and oversee the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) used to maintain and repair company assets, all locations.
  • with the manufacturing automation engineering, safety, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure safe and robust solutions are purchased and installed at all facilities.
  • all maintenance MRO storerooms to ensure adequate spare parts are maintained to support machine and facility operations at all locations.
  • employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
  • and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the established goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
  • employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
  • maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
  • company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
  • resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field; preferred
  • 10+ Years of experience in Maintenance Reliability Centered Maintenance.
  • Exposure to combined business units such as manufacturing, distribution, and retail; preferred
  • Knowledge of CMMS and Reliability Centered Maintenance Concepts; required.
  • Ability to travel at least 60% across multi-site and multi-state locations; required.
