Our client, a well-known apparel brand, is looking for a Designer for Women's Sweaters to join their team for a 4 month contract! Please note, this role will start full-time for 3 weeks, then move to part time. This role will work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Women's Design Director in developing seasonal concepts for Women's Sweaters
Develop on-brand, trend-right products that drive equity and profitability for the brand and uphold standards
Drive innovation of the category through best-in-class fit, fabric, finish, style, and sundries development
Research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competition
Develop relationships with internal partners, leading collaboration within Design and across Merchandising and Product Development
Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals
Lead and conduct fit sessions to ensure the fit intent of each style
Manage creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples, and production
Strategize and drive GTM timelines, processes, and deliverables
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
3+ years of design experience in the Sweaters category
Extensive knowledge of knit construction, including an understanding of knit yarns, gauges, stitches
Creative Suite knowledge, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Reader, PowerPoint, PLM
Solid flat sketching skills, good design, and color sense
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management; with the desire to work in a very fast-paced environment
Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
