JOB DESCRIPTION



Entry-level position within the Process Engineering Department. Works under the close supervision of an experienced Technical Professional and/or the Lead Process Engineer of a project team. Administrative reporting is to the Manager of Process Engineering. Performs routine aspects of process engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic chemical engineering principles. Expected to collaborate with experienced technical professionals for non-routine aspects of engineering assignments.

Assist (under close supervision) in the development of engineering deliverables including process simulations, preliminary equipment sizing, hydraulics and piping line sizing and preparing process data for instrument and mechanical data sheets.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsibilities:

  • Assist (under close supervision) with the development of block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Assist as required with technical safety, technical excellence and standards.
  • Assist (under close supervision) the exchange of required technical concepts and information with other engineering disciplines
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information while demonstrating an understanding of process engineering fundamental principles and work practices.
  • Knowledge of technical safety, standards and basic competency with engineering software.
  • Strong ethical standards. High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
  • Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
  • Accountable for results.
  • Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects.
  • Team player that works well with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients.





QUALIFICATIONS



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Entry level to 2 years process engineering experience.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
