Waséyabek Development Company, LLC (WDC), is a newly formed legal entity, created and wholly owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP), a federally recognized Indian Tribe. WDC is committed to fostering the development of a stable, diversified economy for the Band which will contribute to its long-term wealth and economic self-sufficiency while managing risk and creating quality employment opportunities.

Position Summary

WDC is seeking a driven Project Manager to join our R&D Support Team in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Project Manager reports directly to the Site Manager and provides project management support to research and development projects at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). The individual will be responsible for developing project plans and leading a cohesive team of professionals to complete them on time and under budget.

Responsibilities:

· Develop project management plans that detail project scope, team, cost estimate, schedule milestones and risks/mitigations.

· Effectively lead routine project status meetings with team members, subcontractors and federal stakeholders using internet videoconferencing products such as Microsoft Teams.

· Generate subcontractor statement-of-work documents (Word) & purchase requests.

· Establish and maintain project dashboards (Excel) that provide a visual representation of project status

· Collaborate with peers, and federal stakeholders to ensure all life cycle activities are accurately identified, planned, monitored, and controlled.

· Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.

· Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Technical or Management-based Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum of five (5) years of project or construction management experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Analytical, computer, and problem-solving skills

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Experience estimating, scheduling, budgeting and planning design and build work.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

· Ability to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to nationwide criminal record search, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by the contract

· United States citizenship is required to work on a federal contract and will be electronically verified via E-Verify

· Steward the organizational culture with a focus on teamwork and commitment to service amidst a diverse colleague and customer base.

· Ability to quickly adapt focus, adjust schedule and problem solve to meet evolving work demands and needs of supervisor and other stakeholders.

· High energy and resourceful team-player, with the ability to work independently and balance multiple competing priorities and tasks.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

· Ability to pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC.

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Training Certification from PMI or similar organization related to project management experience working in support of R&D at the NETL

· Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe.

Physical Requirements:

This position operates in an on-site facility shop and may require standing for extended periods of time. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as protective suit, safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

Some daily travel to the NETL Pittsburgh office may be required, up to 50% of the time. Other regional travel may be required to pay visit to subcontractor offices or shops.
