Summary: Our Staff Accountant assists and performs integral functions of our Corporate Accounting Team to maintain and optimize monthly close deadlines, accuracy of accounting entries, year-end audit support and internal controls over financial reporting.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: This information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. • Use of NetSuite ERP System for Accounting Journal Entries, Bills, Invoices, and Cash Application. • Ensures an accurate and timely month-end and year-end close. • Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close. • Identifying areas of improvement to better optimize and leverage automation within the close process. • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information. • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. • Supports senior management with special projects and process improvements. • Assists with accounting guidance and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. • CPA or CPA eligible is not required but preferred. • Strong knowledge and understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("US GAAP"). • Experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred. • Proficient in Excel with capabilities to leverage formulas to expedite tasks and projects. • Has initiative to be proactive in offering solutions. • Proficient analytical skills to identify things to confirm with your manager for accuracy. • High-level communication skills to be able to articulate accounting complexities.
Experience with Teams and Microsoft office to be able to provide written communication within the accounting function and across departments.
