Job Description:

Smartleaf - Implementation Project Manager Role

We are a growing, dedicated team of financial professionals, mathematicians, financial engineers, software developers working together to transform the field of wealth management. We aim to make portfolio management frictionless, enabling every investor to benefit from levels of customization and tax management that were once the exclusive preserve of ultra-high net worth investors.

We are devoted to doing things right, bringing a fiduciary standard of care to all that we do.

Position Overview

As Smartleaf's Implementation Project Manager, you will play a critical role in onboarding new client firms while serving as a subject matter expert and point of contact while providing a smooth and delightful experience.

Your primary objective will be to lead the transition of a client relationship from the Sales team to our Client Services team and get the client up and running on Smartleaf. You will balance Smartleaf and client objectives while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and executing on a project plan.

Success in this role will lead to client implementations being completed on schedule and new clients extracting value from the system right away.

We strongly prefer candidates local to the Boston area. While office attendance is at the discretion of the employees and individual teams at this time, we do find that onboarding and training greatly benefit from in-person interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for this role, we will be looking for the following:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience with enterprise SaaS implementations or project management. Prior experience in Financial Services or FinTech and experience with enterprise clients, and high ARR clients is preferred.
  • Skills: You are organized, a great communicator, able to multitask, can prioritize competing demands to manage your time and responsibilities well.
  • Characteristics: You are self-sufficient and work well independently. You are also personable and relationship-oriented. You are comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders, including executives.
  • Trajectory: You are eager to learn and looking for a job with room to grow.

If you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on this list, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

  • Understand client requirements and objectives; translate into an actionable project plan
  • Manage the project lifecycle (sales to service transition, planning, execution, monitoring, closure)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Partner with internal specialists to execute on the project plan
  • Set expectations of internal and external stakeholders; hold teams accountable for deadlines and deliverables
  • Continuously report on project status, including progress to plan and hours spent

  • Document lessons learned and recommend process improvements

Core Benefits
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance with 100% of premium and deductible covered for employees and family (copay applies)

  • Four weeks PTO + NYSE holidays
  • Flexible work-from-home policy

Work Style

When you are remote...
  • All team meetings are by video conference
  • The team communicates throughout the day via messaging stream (akin to Slack), Google Meet, and Zoom
