Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong computer skills and experience in accounting and procurement to join our team as a project specialist. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with accounting software and a working knowledge of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accounts receivable duties, including creating estimates, client invoicing, and updating project details in the operating system, utilizing accounting software.
Process customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts to ensure precision.
Provide weekly Accounts Receivable Aging reports to management, highlighting outstanding balances and aging trends.
Execute the materials procurement process for residential renovation projects across multiple states, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Estimators to determine material requirements and project timelines, adapting quickly to evolving requirements.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and communications with suppliers, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
Identify problems and shortfalls in the procurement process and propose effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Utilize strong critical thinking and analytical skills to optimize procurement processes and minimize costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable accounting and/or procurement coordination.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software programs.
Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.
Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
Working knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in residential renovation projects.
Ability to thrive in an environment with frequent changes and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
