The Estates & Trust Manager will provide leadership and be responsible for the quality delivery of services to exceed the expectations of our clients. The individual will also be responsible for the development and motivation of the engagement team and provide the staff/seniors with leadership, counseling, and career guidance. Responsibilities:
  • Review individual, fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns and related income tax workpapers.
  • Provide exceptional fiduciary, personal income, gift, and estate tax compliance services as well as estate planning advisory services.
  • Review and analyze account statements from various brokerage houses and financial institutions' mutual fund statements.
  • Review estate and trust fiduciary accountings.
  • Reviews inventories and accountings and understands and manages the probate process.
  • Handle Federal and State tax notices and audits.
  • Research Federal, State, and International tax laws, prepare tax memorandums on technical topics and develop tax savings strategies.
  • Review and analyze estate planning related legal documents.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on trust, estates, and gift matters.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and a CPA is required.
  • Extensive experience in Tax Advisory and Estate/Trust planning and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Both oral & written.
  • Previous experience with reviewing fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment.
