Overview

This client specializes in composites, elastomers, and metalwork, often combining these materials to create custom solutions for their clients. Their team of professionals offer expertise on composite design, materials, and manufacturing plans, as well as providing technical and testing resources for new product development.

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's goal of consistently producing high-quality products. You will address production challenges, optimize manufacturing methods, and drive cost improvement programs to ensure operational efficiency and excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work towards short-term and long-term business goals in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and support multiple projects simultaneously across various departments.
  • Provide technical leadership on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership within cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes, equipment, and programs to enhance efficiencies, uptime, and safety.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments effectively.
  • Communicate customer expectations and company objectives clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Foster trusting business relationships and promote teamwork within and between departments.
  • Assist in driving departmental metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing tools and processes.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities proactively.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement objectives and Lean initiatives, both as a leader and contributor.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience with tooling and/or mold designs.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Occasionally move heavy parts (<50 pounds) using appropriate handling devices.
  • Support up to 25% travel, primarily to the DFW area.
  • U.S. citizenship is required
