We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Ignition SCADA Administrator to join our team and collaborate with one of our Fortune 200 oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. As an Ignition SCADA Administrator, You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our Ignition SCADA platform, as well as leveraging your scripting and coding expertise to enhance system functionality. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can address challenges, develop and execute plans, and meet project timelines.
This position requires the candidate to be on-site at our client's office in Houston, TX. The role also requires up to 20% travel.
Responsibilities:
and maintain multiple Ignition SCADA systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
and implement advanced scripting solutions to customize and optimize the SCADA platform.
and maintain Python scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
SQL knowledge to manipulate and query databases for data analysis and reporting (SQL experience is a plus).
in the normalization and standardization of large data overhauls to ensure data integrity.
with the engineering team to design and implement user-friendly SCADA screens.
to client sites every week (on average one night per week) to provide on-site support and assistance.
as a self-motivated, self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.
address technical challenges, formulate plans, and execute them within specified timelines.
intermediate custom scripting to meet project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
years of development experience with Ignition
years oil and gas industry experience, upstream preferred
on large scale design and development of HMI and SCADA systems built around the Ignition platform
in implementing complex architecture with on-premises Ignition SCADA system and troubleshooting knowledge
working with various device interfaces like OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT etc
designing and building Scada solutions, ideally with Ignition.
Integrating SCADA with Allen-Bradley, Emerson ROC, ABB TotalFlowPLCs.
in higher-level programming languages such as C#/.NET, SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
