Overview

The Merchandising Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the seamless execution of merchandising initiatives for the business. This role will own the management of the master product catalog data which is the backbone of our commerce operations across multiple channels. Responsible for day-to-day management of product data updates including QC, Content Changes and vendor information changes. Facilitates aggregation and distribution of product data cross-functionally to assist Marketing, Field Sales, Marketplaces and other departments with timely response to data needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Own the management of the master product catalog data including, but not limited to SKU set up, product attributes etc.
  • Own and coordinate all quarterly product launches from data creation to launch on all platforms including passing off to Field Sale, Ecommerce/ Marketplaces, and JL.com Website Team
  • Data Accuracy and Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of product data, including images, specifications, attributes
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration around product data creation and collection for online and offline deployment -collection names, attributes, imagery etc.
  • Manage relationships between Product Development, Merchandising, Sales and Marketing as it pertains to product introduction, maintenance, or enhancements
  • Manage and coordinate all QC updates by verifying updated information in our PIM an communicating updates to all cross- functional teams
  • Conduct regular quality checks to identify and rectify data inconsistencies or errors, and partner with various team members and departments to update and resolve as quickly as possible
  • Partner with internal and external teams to identify training needs around product and product data creation and collection; be prepared to deliver training when/if needed
  • Manage full product data lifecycle from initial setup product, launch and maintenance, including management of data handoff timelines and deadlines
  • Creates and implements processes to optimize the efficiency of product data creation and collection
  • The subject matter expert for product and related data. Learn and report on best practices, industry standards, and business requirements associated with assigned projects
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor catalog analysis to identify gaps, market trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Utilize analytics and sales data to track catalog performance, product popularity, and customer preferences
  • Generate regular reports to share insights with relevant stakeholders

Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a high performing complex role; e-commerce and / or wholesaler environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising management, marketing, sales management or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Microsoft NAV, Salesforce, Asana, PIM experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail without sacrificing accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, analytical, and deadline-driven
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment

Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
  • Standing is to remain on one's feet in an upright position without moving about
  • The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by schedules breaks and/or lunch period
