We seek teachers with experience and training in teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, and decoding at an approximately K-2 grade level and teachers with experience and training in educational best practices to teach all elementary and middle school levels for the 2024-2025 school year. Students are grouped by skill level, not age or grade. Class size is generally 8-12 students. All faculty members teach Math and Problem Solving in addition to ELA.
Morningside is looking for teachers with:
A sincere enjoyment of elementary aged children and
Experience teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, and/or decoding using evidence-based practices and curricula.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
A background in Direct Instruction and/or Precision Teaching and
Excellence in group management.
Successful Morningside teachers are positive and fast-paced in their presentations and interactions. They have clear expectations and thoroughly follow through on instructions and consequences.
