The ideal candidate will have experience managing a manufacturing facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and effectively use resources to deliver desired outcomes.
Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant and their employees. Their duties include hiring and training plant employees, reviewing production records to determine whether employees meet their performance expectations and coordinating with corporate management to enforce changes to plant budgets or safety procedures.

Responsibilities
Oversee plant operations while working with departments such as: Procurement, Accounting, HR, Quality Control
Set Monthly Target Projections for Sales Revenue
Sends Sales Team Open Manpower Capacity
Reviews All NCR's and Directs Necessary SOP Modification to Prevent Reoccurrence.
Reviews Safety and Near Misses Data with Safety Officer
Leads Daily Shop Walk
Direct reports include - Manufacturing Manager, Purchasing Department Lead, QC Operation Leads, & Plant Engineering/Estimating Lead
Resolves Shop Issues Related to Production, Quality, and Safety.
Meets with Accounting Managers on AP/AR and Monthly Financial Performance.
Works with HR on Manpower Issues and Employee Evaluations
Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
Ensure plant operations sends and meets weekly KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to COO
Works with Manufacturing Manager on Efficiency Targets.
Responsible for pricing quotations on plant estimates.
Communicate with customers and vendors.
Hold employees and managers accountable to follow company policies.
Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or related technical discipline.
Minimum of 7-10 years of direct operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Leadership skills to develop all employees individually and as a team in a progressive work environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of employee relations in a manufacturing & office setting.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating plants. Familiar with operating plant equipment safely and efficiently
Working knowledge of basic accounting practices and joint goals processes.
Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to sit, stand, and walk around for long periods at a time
