Football Recruiting Operations Coordinator at University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma

Job Description:

Provide operational support and assistance to the Director of Recruiting Strategy. Manage all the operational aspects of the recruiting department, manage and develop the recruiting operations calendar and related correspondence to prospective student athletes in a manner consistent with the mission and values of Oklahoma Football.


Essential Functions:



  • Plan and develop a 12-month recruiting operations calendar

  • Execute all operational demands contained within the 12-month recruiting operations calendar

  • Plan and develop all prospect correspondence and graphic mailing consistent with the department, university, conference, and NCAA guidelines

  • Assist with planning and monitoring coaches recruiting travel and travel related expenses.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruiting Strategy

Required Education: A Bachelor’s degree, AND:  



  • 12 months of experience in related field.


Skills:



  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with students, colleagues, staff, and administrators

  • Ability to work under pressure to manage and coordinate multiple projects and requests and meet competing deadlines

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of collegiate athletic programs and operation units

  • Knowledge of and commitment to comply with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations

  • Knowledge of recruiting management system

  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint)

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented


Advertised Physical Requirements: 



  • Ability and willingness to work long and odd hours, often weekends and potentially holidays during variety of events and camps/clinics

  • Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and travel

  • Prior experience in management of others

  • Highly organized and detailed oriented

  • Previous experience in football or athletic recruiting or related experience

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills

  • Comply with all University, conference, and NCAA rules
