Position Description

This position will be responsible for the conducting closure package audits across the spectrum of Kinder Morgan business units. This position will support the DRI Manager in answering questions, training employees, contractors, project management personnel and field/engineering project leads. This position will also ensure all periodic DRI reports are completed and issued and assists in new employee/contractor recruiting and interviewing.
Responsibilities Include :
Trains all new employees and contractors in approved Kinder Morgan DRI Audit Process.
Assesses learning and adapts training methods to fit individual situations and learning styles.
Serves as SME on in-depth reviews of project documentation to be maintained per Company policy and Code requirements.
Suggests improvements to training material and processes to minimize training timelines.
Updates DRI Audit Process in conjunction with DRI Manager for new or improved closure package requirements.
Reviews audit findings during training periods of new employees and contractors and provides feedback, and if necessary, additional training and guidance to same in support of training process up to release to full production.
Provides advice to DRI Manager for the full release of auditors in training.
Conducts closure package audits across all Kinder Morgan business units.
Assists in all DRI reporting requirements.
Assists in recruiting and interviewing of new employees and contractors.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED minimum.
College degree or technical courses in training, auditing and/or technical writing preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with high level of organization and time management abilities.
Proven skills in developing and facilitating a collaborative work atmosphere with trainees, Project Managers/Leads, Construction Support Managers, and other project personnel.
Positive attitude; develops team atmosphere; works towards common goals.
Must have an investigative mindset that combines curiosity and inquisitiveness to ultimately solve problems in a relentless pursuit of answers to missing or incorrect/incomplete information and documentation.
Creative thinker capable of finding unique ways to resolve audit issues.
Possess above average oral and written communication abilities, analytical and logical thought process skills.
Must be proficient in the use of computers and applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other commercial and internal applications.
Ability to perform job duties with little or no supervision.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work while working multiple projects and/or training tasks at any given time.
Must be willing and able to work as a part of team.
Must be self-motivated, able to take instruction and use sound judgment in day to day training lessons and evaluations.
Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with various levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to resolve issues.
Must be punctual and reliable in work attendance.
Job level will be commensurate with experience and skill-set.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
Minimum of five (5) years energy-related engineering & construction experience with ten (10) years preferred.
Engineering office environment and/or field office management experience is a plus.
Understands / familiar with construction as-built markup drawings, survey data, MTRs, Bills of Material, and other project-related documentation.
Experience in leading group and one-on-one training required.
Experience with document auditing a plus.
Familiarity with energy project scopes of work a plus.
