Administrative Coordinator

Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:
*Primary Function:

Ø Provides Supervisory/Leadership support when needed.
Ø Providing support and guidance to all hourly employees in production, sanitation, quality, safety, and warehousing.
Ø Provide support through mechanical and process knowledge while driving continuous improvement initiatives
Ø Creates and edits Production schedule for hourly production workforce.
Ø Works closely with all members of management staff and corporate resources to ensure that the highest quality of finished product is produced within the scheduled timelines in a safe and efficient manner.
Ø Train and develop people in an active role. Make corrections as needed, coordinating with Production Supervisors and Trainers. Provide and gather input for performance reviews and actively coach/mentor employees to reach their optimum potential.
Ø Upholds and demonstrates the Land O'Lakes Core Values and Leadership Expectations.
Ø Assists with updating and maintaining training SOP's & OPL's

*Secondary Function:
Ø Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvements, project implementations, cost reduction, etc.
Ø Conducts regular inspections and production audits; compiles required reports; supports plant quality, safety, sanitation, and MCP programs.
Ø Coordinates resources to assist in complying with regulatory issues including safety, GMP's, environmental sanitation.
Ø Provides employees with appropriate orientation and training so they can perform their assigned duties as efficiently as possible.
Ø Confers with management and production personnel on production problems and recommends changes to improve production and quality standards.
Ø Interacts with maintenance and contractors as needed on work orders and projects.
Ø Assists in the coordination activities for maintenance shutdowns for both LOL employees and contractors.
Ø All other duties as assigned or required.

*Safety Responsibility:
Ø Encourage safe work techniques for all employees and take corrective action as necessary to maintain safety compliance in the production factory.
Ø Follow plant safety rules and procedures and perform all duties safely to reduce the risk of injury.
Ø Ensure First Report of Injuries and Supervisor Accident Investigations are completed as required.
Ø Perform Safety Observations, Safety Menu Items and report findings as required.
Ø Complete annual safety refresher courses.

*Interpersonal / Organizational Responsibilities:
Ø Must be able to effectively lead employees in a positive manner.
Ø Must have skills to provide both written and verbal communication to effectively relay information.
Ø Must be able to develop written procedures, adding appropriate details so employees can follow.
Ø Must be able to multi-task and remain flexible enough to shift priorities as the need arises.
Ø Must be able to review schedules, plan, and schedule personnel to achieve results.
Ø Must be flexible and able to provide support to both day and night shift.
Ø Continue to develop yourself to grow your career, by attending seminars and other learning opportunities.

*Qualifications:
Ø Degree is preferred and 3+ years experience in food processing environment with progressive responsibilities; experience with Process Improvement, GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, and quality assurance highly preferred.
Ø Must have ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities; demonstrated written communication skills; capacity for consistently meeting deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects; solid organization and detail orientation, excellent follow-through skills and
Ø Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and data entry are required.
