Job: Laboratory Technician

Shift: 2nd Shift (M on thru Friday 2pm to 1030pm)

Location: Mars Petcare - Fort Smith, AR

This is an exciting opportunity to join the site R&D team in Fort Smith, AR, as a senior technician in the Quality and food Safety function. The role involves operating and supervising quality systems, ensuring quality management system implementation in factories, and complying with MARS QMP and regulatory requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent BSc/ MSc degree is preferred.


• Knowledge of quality management system - FSSC22000, and quality program GMP/ Hygienic design, familiar with legal food safety requirements, and food process technology.


• Problem-solving skills and systematic thinking.


• Communication and influencing skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Drive the implementation of GMP on-site in compliance with the Mars GMP/ GHP standard, including GMP for production/ engineering and contractor, etc.


• Document control system management including the Nexus system.


• Develop the quality system training material and training plan and follow the implement


• CAPA system follow up to make sure all CAPA are not overdue.


• Prepare the management review report material.


• Verify the system procedure and regulation requirement compliance in process.


• Coordinate change management assessment in site level.


• Complete any other projects assigned by QA Manager.
