Who are we looking for?


Our Northeast Water business is looking for a Water Resources Engineer to join their team in Harrisburg, PA! In this role, you will assist with the preparation of investigations, technical studies, designs, and project management & development for water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure systems throughout the region for our municipal sector clients.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Completing assigned study and design of stormwater BMPs
• Completing evaluation and designs for municipal sanitary sewer/water system improvements
• Performing wide variety of other duties to include project management tasks for water/wastewater and stormwater projects from study phase through design phase, and funding applications
• Performing design calculations, cost estimates, alternative analyses and writing reports
• Developing water collection, conveyance and distribution system layouts
• Coordinating internal and client project progress meetings
• Assisting with coordination of multi-disciplinary design projects
• Maintaining open communication with project team members
• Perform field inspections and investigations

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification with intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) License in Pennsylvania; already having your PE is a plus
• 3-7 years of relevant water engineering experience, including underground linear utilities such as water, wastewater, and stormwater
• Experience with MS4 programs, design of stormwater BMPs, and knowledge of stormwater regulations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently
• Focus on client service
• Devise approaches to problem resolution
• Ability to think proactively and take ownership of your work
• Willingness to observe construction activities and complete field investigations
• Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings
