Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain servers, including but not limited to database, mail, network, and application servers
Ensure continuous delivery and operation of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance
Prepare and maintain documentation of infrastructure processes, systems configuration, and network mapping
Lead infrastructure migration/upgrades projects, from the design through the implementation phase
Manage virtual and physical servers running both Linux and Windows
Install and configure network hardware and software, ensuring strong functionality and security
Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity
Troubleshoot network issues with diverse scopes where analysis of situations requires evaluation and judgment
Participate in negotiation with vendors to secure software products and services
Plan and assist with the deployment of Microsoft Intune policies and settings
Assist in mergers and acquisitions which may include technical migrations, administrative migrations, and technical integrations
Provide technical support and guidance to users and other team members
Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways for the company to take advantage of new technology
Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
Experience with cloud infrastructure – AWS, Azure
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Cybersecurity knowledge
Dependable and flexible when necessary
Network security experience
LAN and WAN infrastructure experience
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
Ability to provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
