CEDAR funds its own research projects, expediting the process of discovery. Our research is milestone-driven to ensure that each project is fulfilling its stated goals.
We are currently hiring at the level of Senior Research Associate with expertise in Bioengineering, Bioprinting and Microfabrication to work in the following areas:
3D bioprinting – the candidate will work with extrusion printers, DLP printers, single-cell printers to attend the different projects of the Hub.
Microfluidics – design of microfluidic devices using CAD program, printing with a microfluidics printer or use the CNC for microfabrication, prepare and use of silicon wafers, preparation of PDMS and plasma bonding the devices
Hydrogel Synthesis – candidate will synthesize gelatin methacryloyl, methacrylated bone hydrogel, and other hydrogels.
Applicants without a demonstrated track record of professional research outputs post-doctorate degree will be considered at the Research Associate level.

Responsibilities
PhD in relevant field and 1 year of relevant experience OR Masters degree in relevant field and 5 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 9 years of relevant experience
Laboratory experience with tissue engineering, biomineralization, cell culture and hydrogels
Techniques required include stem cell culture, hydrogel synthesis, mechanical testing, electron and fluorescence microscopy, biomineralization, immunohistochemistry
Understanding of basic chemical principles and laboratory research. Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and time
Ability to analyze short- and long-term project needs
Qualifications
2 or more years in a research position, including at least 1 year of supervisory and project management experience
Previous experience in 3D printing and microfluidics
