JOB DESCRIPTION



Responsibilities:


  • Prepare purchase orders for all raw material relevant to the drum manufacturing process.
  • Coordinate purchasing of office supplies for the plant.
  • Coordinate deliveries of raw materials to meet required time frames.
  • Ensure purchases are made in accordance with the company's guidelines.
  • Analyze outstanding purchase orders and follow up with suppliers, updating system with new delivery dates.
  • Resolve service related, logistical, financial, and lead time concerns with suppliers.
  • Provide production team with feedback on expected delivery dates and goods that will be substituted.
  • Verify raw materials quality and quantities against receiving documents upon delivery.
  • Clear deliveries of accessories from dock/receiving area daily.
  • Receive all raw materials into the inventory system.
  • Complete supplier assessments and alert corporate procurement of poor vendor performances.
  • Participate in weekly meetings when necessary.
  • Complete inventory reconciliations for scrap, finished goods and raw material.
  • Maintain proper min/max raw materials inventory levels to avoid production delays.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of all accessory inventory.
  • Provide administrative support to the executive management team and senior staff, to include but not limited to safety, finance, quality, and production tasks.
  • Assist with overseeing front office area (managing call volume with multiple line phone system, greet numerous visitors and vendors to the facility filing and scanning documents for the office team and maintain the visitors log)
  • Serves as a backup and support to Materials Manager.
  • Interfaces with other plants for inbound and outbound interplant accessories purchases.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements:


  • Great communication skills - this role works closely with internal materials/shipping personnel, operations/plant manager, accounting, audit personnel, and external suppliers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks and expedited needs for the plant.
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • MRP / ERP experience
  • Good keyboard skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well within a fast-paced environment.
  • 1 to 2 years of shipping & receiving experience is a plus.
  • 1 to 2 years of procurement experience necessary.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent follow through skills required.
  • Forklift experience is a plus/ able and willing to become certified necessary.

  • Language Skills:
    • Ability to read and write in English. Interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and guidelines. Ability to write routine reports, email, and other correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with both leadership and hourly teammates of the organization.


  • Mathematical Skills
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).


  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral form.


  • Physical Requirements:
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk about the facility. The employee must occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
