The Sales director is responsible for driving the development and execution of long- and near-term sales plans/initiatives in line with overall LF Sales initiatives and goals



Responsibilities

Sales Strategies and Objectives

  • Establish and implements sales’ strategy and objectives that support overall business plan
  • Understand industry/segment trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics.
  • Establish and follow strong account management processes
  • Monitor and manage targeted revenues and margin goals for designated area and ensure transparent communication with leadership team on opportunity and challenges
  • Attends trade shows and other sales and marketing events and promotes further sales of the Company's products and services.

Manage and Improve Sales Pipelines

  • Set clear expectations around use of sales process to include: Vicre model, 6 point plans and salesforce CRM
  • Establish and monitor key pipeline metrics to ensure strong pipeline at all stages
  • Work with team to strengthen behaviors and utilize the processes

Financial Responsibilities

  • Manage annual budgets and provide corrective actions to alleviate risks
  • Drive pricing increases and cost control to improve margin performance
  • Assure that all new sales contracts are profitable and/or benefit JBT appropriately.

Develop strong Customer Relationships

  • Maintain existing and builds new customer relationships by preparing and making sales presentations focusing on value to customer
  • Develop broad multi-function relationships between JBT and the Customer organizations
  • Establish detailed account plans that identify and address customer requirements
  • Insure rapid, accurate and professional responses to customer requests, including quotations, contracts and proposals.

Provide strong leadership and team development

  • Lead and establish challenging objectives as well as develop and assess competencies of direct reports to assure development and growth in a balanced, motivating, safe, & healthy work atmosphere.
  • Manage HR related activities for direct reports: salaries, bonus, individual objectives and development plans. Determine training goals, prepare succession plans.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• 4-year College Degree, Technical/Science, required
• Advanced degree: Technical or MBA, preferred
• 3 to 5 yrs. of Capital Equipment sales experience. International travel experience and demonstrated aptitude for sales and customer relations
• 3 to 5 yrs. of managerial leadership experience in a corporate environment.
• 10 Years of Capital Equipment sales experience. International travel experience and Sales account management experience, preferred.
• 2 yrs. of managerial leadership experience in a corporate environment.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $131,000 – $178,250 Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
