We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering team!

Responsibilities:


  • Conceptualize the initial design approach for major phases of large projects.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate mechanical engineering work.
  • Interpret and revise engineering documents.
  • Conceive, plan and conduct research in complex problem areas.
  • Prepare engineered plans and technical specifications, contract documents and assist with estimates.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration. Observe ongoing progress of a project.
  • Assist in coordination of projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants and firm staff. Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project.
  • Assist in resolving a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of job related experience.
  • P.E. licensure
  • Healthcare related building design experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering and architectural principles, practices and techniques.
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team player
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Valid Driver License is required to travel to job sites.
