Type: Full-Time
The successful candidate will be employed under a large NIH program award that supports three different laboratories on the OUHSC campus, all focused on the immune response to C. difficile. They will be responsible for coordinating critical resources and performing experiments that allow the laboratories to compare their results over time and with each other. Expertise in any area including bacteriology, molecular biology, protein expression and purification, infection studies, and immune responses is desirable, although specific training in each method will be provided. This is expected to be a highly rewarding opportunity to perform critical research that advances the a multi-pronged approach to developing an efficacious C. difficile vaccine and ideas for novel therapies.
Duties:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, or related field.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in the aforementioned fields in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree, for a total of 72 months combined research assistant/technician experience.
