LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently looking for a Buyer for our Logistics client located in Franklin, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, vendor communication, negotiating, monitoring inventory levels, and processing purchase orders.
Type: Temporary (possible hire if applicable)
Compensation: $29-$33 per hour
Location: Franklin, TN
Hybrid: 3 days On-Site
Hours: Monday- Friday 8-5pm
Position Overview:
Create & send POs to vendors.
Follow up with vendors and confirm PO prices within 24 hrs.
Create and monitor new inventory items/levels as needed.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and source new suppliers as needed.
Running and cleaning up Open PO reports.
Day to day PO placement and management of deliveries, including weekly calls and daily communication with suppliers.
Support stock discrepancies analysis and drive correct actions to improve the process.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery on time.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, assess financial risk, and evaluate quality of goods.
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, or Salesforce
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Understanding of Logistics & Supply Chain.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
