POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Overview:
The goals of the Network Engineer in the Information Technology Department are to: Work with third-party providers to keep WAN & LAN networks (voice/data) running efficiently and securely, Maintain IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks, Making sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved, keeping up to date on ever-changing cyber-threats, Ensure backups of critical systems/servers are taking place at regular intervals in accordance with company policies, Maintain firewalls and establish then maintain company-wide access policies to the internet, Performing analysis and collecting data to establish the potential for improvements within the communication networks, Assist IT team members in research, implementation, configuration, and administration of the organization’s computing security environment, Work with the LES Sr. Network Engineer to maintain and update the company hyper-converged Nutanix solution and Cohesity backup solution.
