Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Utilize code generators, specifically Plex or Synon, to streamline development processes.
- Write, modify, and test code to ensure the functionality and performance of AS400 applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand system requirements.
- Analyze and design AS400 applications using best practices and industry standards.
- Integrate AS400 applications with other systems as needed.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing AS400 applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of integrated systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (nice to have).
- Proven experience as an AS400 Programmer Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in using code generators, specifically Plex or Synon.
- Proficient in RPG IV, CL, and SQL programming languages.
- Experience with AS400 development tools and utilities.
- Knowledge of database design and optimization on the AS400 platform.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
