ROLE
Award-winning, Chicago-based, brand experience agency is seeking a Creative Project Manager. A Creative Project Manager is the glue that helps keep projects - and people - together, is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. The project scope can vary from single pieces of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel marketing campaigns
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
Communicate with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing on the project change
Define & track project timeline, scope and budget
Gather requirements, deliverables, and timeframes from stakeholders to create project plans
Evaluate project plans and workload; resource internal and external creative talent where appropriate
Know the team's strengths and weaknesses, together and individually, and plan to the team's skills to ensure end success
Communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders, clients and internal teams to ensure that all involved are kept up to date on project plans, priorities, key milestones, deliverables, deadlines and results
Adhere to the critical path and have a plan to mitigate issues that invariably arise
Assess and evaluate project performance metrics and results; produce clear reports to share with stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years creative project management experience (preferably agency-side)
Expert organizational skills
Creative problem-solving skills - able to use logic as well as imagination to make sense of a situation and come up with an intelligent solution
Strong ability to multitask
Outstanding communication skills
Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology
Ability to function well in a fast paced (sometimes chaotic) environment under tight deadlines
Experience with Project Management software, preferred
SALARY & BENEFITS
$70,000 - $75,000/Year
