SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:
The Accounts Payable Sr Manager provides overall direction and guidance to the staff processing accounts payable and vendor services including maintaining records of amounts owed, verifying invoices, computing discounts, coding expenses, preparing vouchers, and issuing checks, ACH transactions and international wires for payment. The Accounts Payable Senior Manager prepares financial dashboards for the monthly reporting package and cash forecasting activities. Prepares accounts payable general ledger reconciliations, including received not invoiced (RNI) accounts payable register. Provides guidance, coordination and training to staff on accounts payable and purchasing procedures.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Partners with Procurement and other cross functional partners to proactively drives ways to streamline manual processes to effectively utilize system capabilities and future enhancements using continuous improvement.

  • Maintains the Corpay payment process, including contact vendors to be included in the program.

  • Responsible for the continued development and engagement of the accounts payable function and that this function is structured with qualified personnel capable of meeting the organizational and business goals and objectives.

  • Maintain the systematic workflow for invoices, refining the process to align with new company approval matrixes and train the business on proper coding.

  • Coordinates weekly check run payments for vendors and employees, including the review of invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment and prioritize payment based on any cash discount or payment terms.

  • Assist in month end closing process including clearing of any exceptions, accruals and reconciliations to the general ledger with a focus on accuracy, especially with the trade accounts payable.

  • Supervise the vendor master data, including 1099 vendors and sales and use tax accruals.

  • Assists in calcuation of month end accruals and calculations including legal accruals and accounts payable workflow accruals.

  • Works with Procurement in the tracking and calculation of purchase volume rebates including, working with the suppliers to ensure alignment in purchases processing accruals and tracking rebate payments.

  • With the Assistant Corporate Controller and Treasury department, forecasts expected weekly cash payments and other metrics to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.

  • Act as the key leader and final reviewer of the annual preparation and filing of IRS forms 1099 and 1096 and ensures accurate and timely submission of reporting.

  • Properly identify controls, process flows and narratives for the transactional processes that are overseen. Ensure the regular performance and evaluation of all processes.

  • Knowledge of processing for international vendors including W8-BEN and VAT taxes

  • Certify liaison as it relates to configuration between Certify's platform and the ERP, including automation and software updates.


Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of in a fast-paced corporate environment, including years in a managerial capacity

  • Experience with large ERP systems

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks and providing information on a timely basis. The individual must be highly detail oriented with strong computer and communication skills

  • Effective planning, communication and writing skills also required

  • Self-motivated, team player with the ability to work with all levels within an organization

  • Experience in a publically traded company environment a plus

$130,000.00 - $150,000.00
