Your Role As a HealthStreamer

Position Summary

The Associate Solution Sales Executive is a sales position within HealthStream with primary responsibility for aligning, positioning and selling a simulation solution portfolio to meet or exceed sales quota within a territory or assigned accounts in the healthcare space. This position requires collaboration with HealthStream assigned account executives and other solution executives. The role will have responsibility for all elements of the sales process, including market segmentation, prospecting, qualifying, positioning, demonstrations, presentations, objection handling, and contract negotiations through sale closure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

In this role, the Associate Solution Sales Executive seeks to align simulation solutions with the clinical and business objectives of the account, and increase HealthStream revenue in each account. The Associate Solution Sales Executive achieves these goals by positioning HealthStream as a Simulation Partner, by designing consultative solutions with measurable outcomes based on identified needs, and by assisting in the development of an enterprise simulation strategy that aligns their simulation investments with clinical and business objectives. Essential duties include:


  • Prospecting Activities within Assigned Accounts: Cold calling, internet research, email, relationship building, and other tactics
  • Identify and Qualify Opportunities: Align assigned HealthStream solutions with prospect initiatives, develop deep customer knowledge and relationships, identify funding source, secure key stakeholder sponsorship, and resolve obstacles/objections
  • Demonstrate, Propose, and Present: Demonstrate HealthStream solutions to key stakeholders when applicable, present compelling value proposition, develop comprehensive and innovative proposals, answer questions, build ROI / business case when applicable, and follow up promptly and professionally
  • Negotiate and Close Business: Create and submit agreements for signature, negotiate contract terms, secure commitment and signature, process contracts in contract management system, and effectively transition client to the implementation phase to ensure long-term customer success
  • Territory Planning and Pipeline Management: Develop and update territory plans, manage pipeline in CRM system, update plans and pipeline, support sales leadership in strategy formulation, and present plans / pipeline to sales leadership effectively and succinctly
  • Contribute to the HealthStream Sales Community: Develop and share best practices with teammates, facilitate internal discussions with key stakeholders, collaborate with other sales team members, contribute to positive work environment and morale
  • Leverage Personal and Professional Development Opportunities: Develop and maintain outstanding product knowledge, build deep expertise in healthcare trends, enhance skills and abilities such as communication, presentation, negotiations, and teamwork
  • Cross-Functionally: work with Marketing, Product Management and Operations to create value-added customer solutions aligned with HealthStream's vision, business principles, and values

Qualifications

What You Will Need to be Successful

Education, Experience and Knowledge Required


  • Sales experience with a track record of at least 1 year of successful sales performance in highly competitive environments, preferably within the healthcare industry. B2B direct sales experience with workforce development related software, software as a service (SaaS), simulation solutions, or resuscitation solutions to healthcare accounts, including the continuum market is a plus.
  • All aspects of B2B sales processes from prospecting through the closing of business, including, carrying a quota, sales training, forecasting, pipeline management, lead generation/management, RFP response, web-based and in-person presentations, product demonstrations, proposal generation, contract negotiations, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to quickly develop business relationships, ranging from the C suite to departmental directors to end users.
  • Comfortable with working independently in an empowering, fast paced, results oriented culture
