Summary
Our Servers are responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of all guests.

Servers provide food service for private dining events and weddings ranging from 2-100 guests. While serving, employees will be responsible for delivering great customer service, resolving complaints, setting up and clearing tables as well as related sidework. Experience carrying trays preferred.

This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction and requires the ability to carry large, heavy objects on a continuous basis throughout a shift.

Occasional. Part time hours.
Days and Nights, Weekday available needed

Rate: $18.00 per hour
Note: Servers are eligible to participate in the Cornman Farms hourly tip pool.

Shifts can be as late as 10:00 p.m.
Schedules are posted typically 2 weeks in advance of event.

Servers interested in learning to bartend can work shifts as barback, if desired, to eventually be scheduled to bartend.

Delivers the Zingermans experience to all guests, including consistently going the extra mile and following the 5 Steps to Handling a Customer ComplaintServes appetizers, stationed or passed, and meals to guests, accurately and enthusiasticallyRelays important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate personMaintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to spills or other special needsProperly opens and pours wine at the table when neededArrives on time for all shifts, attends pre-shift and refers to kitchen sheet to be familiar with the menu and timeline of the eventAssists with all functions at catering events as needed - setting up, tearing down, replenishing food, serving, cleaningKeeps the workspace clean, organized and sanitizedTakes direction from the manager on duty while working eventsResponds quickly to requests from guests, co-workers, supervisors and managers while being accurate, polite and enthusiasticFollows up to ensure guest needs are met and exceededMaintains a professional image at all times through actions and appearanceConducts all business in accordance with Zingerman's Guiding Principles and Bottom LinesIs timely and accurate in completing all assigned responsibilitiesGives exceptional service to all customers at our eventsCompletes training requirements in a timely manner

Has experience working in the foodservice/hospitality industryHas previous serving experience, preferably in a banquet settingLikes a flexible schedule with an ability to work shifts on an on-call basisAble to work nightsIs able to follow directions in the moment, under time pressure, with a smileCan work shifts that require standing/walking/bending throughout shiftHas excellent communication skillsHas the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and stay focused.Stays well organized with a strong attention to detailCan safely lift and carry 50 pounds and move product up and down stairs

This is an occasional hourly position with Zingermans Cornman Farms. This position has the opportunity to pick up additional Bartender/Server hours with Zingerman's Deli Catering if interested.
