Job Description:

The Inside Sales Manager position is managing, coaching, and developing a team of pro-active, outbound calling, inside sales representatives to develop customer relationships and drive sales growth. The Inside Sales Team Manager sets sales goals, tracks sales and performance metrics, produces sales and forecasting reports, and manages the team with the objective of exceeding revenue objectives. The Inside Sales Team Manager determines prospective customer targets and develops outreach plans to enhance the success of the Inside Sales Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the inside sales staff. This includes hiring, training, coaching, and supporting ongoing professional development opportunities for these employees to enhance their success. Define weekly, monthly and/or quarterly sales objectives for the inside sales team members and provide reports and feedback to the team and individuals for reward and recognition or coaching and development. Monitor sales, quotes, and outbound calling metrics to review performance and provide coaching and development assistance as needed to enhance results. Measure the performance of the inside sales staff and determine if existing practices and processes are generating optimal results. Suggest improvements to sales processes as needed, implement modifications, and monitor for continuous improvement opportunities. Coordinate with the marketing department in the development and implementation of lead generating actions to enhance the inside sales teams opportunities and effectiveness. Openly communicate and build relationships with customers and key suppliers. Rely on customer feedback to ensure that the inside sales department is operating successfully and use this feedback to make improvements if needed. Coordinate with other departments to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Support the team in areas of strategic customer development activities and customer or vendor conflict resolution as needed. Attend and coordinate team product and application training to build consultative selling skills. Occasionally attend trade shows, product demonstrations or key customer visits. Any other duties assigned.
