Job Title:
Mechanical Technician



Lotion: Pinebrook NJ



Duration: Long Term Contract




Summary:

This position supports test engineers to provide performance and quality assessment of products based on industry standards. This role requires supporting lab environment and provides hands-on support for R&D product development.


Duties & Responsibilities


• Maintain machine workshops / lab environment including periodic calibrations as required

• Work with engineers on prototype creation and evaluation

• Perform product teardowns / part inspections

• Perform product performance/quality testing

• Troubleshoot testing and product issues

• Perform basic data analysis / simple calculations

• Prepare and present reports of a technical nature.

• Sample management


Education/Experience:

• Associate in Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.

• 5+ years in an engineering lab or machine shop experience required

• General mechanical and electrical knowledge

• Experience in Home Appliance industry preferred

• Proficient with MS Office

• Ability to pay attention to detail, good observation skills

• Machine and test equipment setup/hookup, data acquisition, load preparation, test conditions, etc.

• Ability to follow industry test standards

• Ability to spot potential problems in the tests, machine setup, and test conditions, etc.

• Carrying of heavy loads, bending and stooping, exposure to hot water, heat, cold, and food products

• Flexibility: Assignments may change frequently depending on workload and tests being run

1. Exposure to measuring instruments and data acquisition tools 2. General mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability to assemble/craft prototypes using general workshop tools 3. Attention to detail, observation skills


Performance Standards
