We are currently looking for a Sr Project Manager to join our Neurovascular Operating Unit in Irvine, California. Be a part of engineering a comprehensive portfolio of proven, powerful neurovascular technologies, setting the highest standards of integrity and reliability in Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke Care. We are seeking a Project Manager with previous experience working with medical devices (Coils, Delivery Systems). This will be a hybrid position with at least 3 days per week required onsite.

A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Sr Project Manager, you will have responsibility for management and support of projects related to product evolution and business continuity. You will be a key team player driving challenging manufacturing situations to solution. Under minimal direction you will drive the navigation of communication chain and generate testing protocols and reports.

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead multi-functional projects and interact heavily with R&D and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


  • Lead engineering projects through phases of project lifecycle. Use basic project management tools including project milestones, project schedules, resource management, and budget management.
  • Frequent interaction with internal or external contacts at various organizational levels concerning ongoing operations or changes relating to processes or programs. Leads briefings and meetings with internal and external contacts.
  • Provide measurable input regarding development of overall objectives. Ensure that ongoing operations, processes, and programs are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions on manufacturing process issues.
  • Configuration management and implementation of engineering changes, document updates and QAD/SAP requirements (BOM).
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers and suppliers to design, characterize and qualify high capability processes producing consistent finished device medical products.
  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
  • Lead implementation of online extensions including versioning requirements such as labeling, manufacturing procedures, BOM's, builds coordination and commercial builds scheduling.
  • Lead and support a team of Engineers and Technicians.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have


  • Endovascular (especially Neurovascular) knowledge and experience
  • Cross-functional experience in R&D, Operations or Quality
  • Project management skills: knowledge of process and project planning best practices (PMP Certification preferred)
  • Experience being on project teams tasked with new product development and successful transfer into manufacturing
  • Self-starter with experience leading people and teams on projects
  • Experience working cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
