About the Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive individual who can help us continuously improve and enhance our Salesforce ecosystem, gather requirements and feedback, assist in designing scalable best practice solutions, and managing the product road map. Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance to us; therefore, the Senior Salesforce Administrator should enjoy all aspects of user management including support tickets and Cases, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority.

We are looking for someone with immersed understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives, to quickly identify areas of advancement. The Senior Salesforce Administrator should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of a Salesforce epic, story boards and status checks. The ideal candidate will be happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into secular terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact.

The primary desired work location for this position is Richmond, VA. Our other preferred locations would be Baltimore, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina on a hybrid work environment.

What You Will Do:

This is a varied business facing role, with the following responsibilities: 


  • Platform Management


  • User and Access Management: Manage all aspects of Salesforce user accounts, including setting up profiles, defining roles, and configuring permission and security settings to ensure proper access controls. Manage comprehensive rule's structure, including hierarchical strategies to scale ecosystems to an array of functional areas. 


  • Configuration and Customization: Oversee the setup and maintenance of workflows, dynamic layouts, apps, and other Salesforce configurations to enhance platform functionality and user experience. 


  • System Maintenance: Conduct regular system reviews, including security assessments, release updates, and performance optimizations to maintain system integrity and compliance. 


  • Technical Expertise and Development Support: Refine and troubleshoot code, manage the development and staging of new features, and assist in bug identification and resolution.  



  • Business Analysis and Strategy:


  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather detailed business requirements, identifying specific business needs and opportunities. 


  • Strategic Solution Development: Analyze and synthesize information to develop strategic solutions that address business challenges. Recommend system enhancements and new functionalities that align with business goals.  


  • Roadmap Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner to develop and manage the Salesforce platform roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and resource availability.  


  • Optimization and Training: Identify and leverage underutilized features, enhance data quality and system performance, and conduct user training to boost adoption and proficiency. 


  • Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Work with System architects to evaluate technological solutions, ensure alignment of developments with business requirements, and contribute to departmental and System projects. Exhibit exceptional collaboration skills, working closely with Developers to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technical solutions.  


  • Support Services: Manage and resolve Cases and support tickets within Salesforce and other related applications, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. 


  • Product Delivery Modeling: Develop and implement models for effective product delivery, ensuring alignment of developments with business goals and optimal user experience. 


Qualifications:

Required Skills: 


  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Salesforce Cloud offerings. 


  • Certified Salesforce Administrator advanced 


  • Excellent relationship-building skills. 


  • DevOps/release management experience. 


  • Experience in change management and governance. 


  • A proactive approach to platform enhancements. 


  • Demonstrates continued personal/professional development.  


Preferred Skills: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or 7 years professional experience. 


  • Additional Salesforce certifications e.g., Platform App Builder. 


  • Active in the Salesforce community. 


  • Scrum certification. 


  • Fundamental Product Delivery knowledge.

  • The national hiring range of the Senior Salesforce Administrator is $131,300 – $144,430 annually. For candidates in certain markets like Baltimore, MD the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.



  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.


  • This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
