Job Description:

The Overwatch 2 team is looking for a Game Producer to join our events team to help drive the creation of a new generation of in-game live event content. We are looking for somebody with a passion for FPS games and a drive for crafting a rich and diverse live gameplay experience for players. You will work with other producers to lead a cross discipline team of designers, artists, and engineers passionate about developing exciting new live content and features across both Competitive and Co-Op game modes.

As a member of the Overwatch 2 team, you will be part of a group of outstanding developers whose goal is to make a truly immersive, compelling experience for our players. Responsibilities


  • Work with internal teams across all subject areas, design, production, product, engineering, art, & QA

  • Facilitate the team's task management, maintain task lists, backlogs, dependencies, and communicate risks and deadlines

  • Maintain processes for coordinating and sharing event information, and assets with both internal and external teams

  • Schedule and attend meetings; set agendas; take concise and comprehensive notes and distribute them to appropriate personnel

  • Collaborate with other producers on project status, risks, dependencies, mitigations, and opportunities

  • Responsible for the creation and tracking of schedules for features, game events, and associated assets

  • Collaborate with game team, publishing, and commercial teams to develop new event concepts

  • Assist in implementing in-game events, including lobbies, rewards, and celebrations

  • Contribute to a positive, constructive, and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous experience working in a project or people management role

  • Proven ability to build, track, and maintain team schedules, and to drive projects to completion efficiently and timely

  • Ability to communicate optimally, accurately, and succinctly with key stakeholders in both written and verbal channels

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to coordinate and drive towards clarity; strong collaborative problem solver

  • Knowledge of software development and project management, including agile frameworks

  • Willingness to learn and improve; comfortable admitting mistakes and not knowing something

Pluses

  • Expertise with Jira, Confluence, ShotGrid, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and comparable applications

  • Experience with building content and features for live service-model games

  • Familiarity with game development tools

  • Prior experience in engineering, art, or design

  • BA / BS (or equivalent)

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
