Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Clinical Practice:


  • - Organize patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans for assigned patients.

  • - Prioritize patient care, considering varying acuity levels.

  • - Maintain clear and concise communication for continuity of care.

  • - Demonstrate knowledge of adult and geriatric patient growth and development, as applicable.

Quality of Care:


  • - Document patient care in compliance with nursing documentation standards.

  • - Develop comprehensive care plans based on patient assessments, health care team input, intra-agency referrals, and medical records.

  • - Create educational plans for patients and families, following departmental documentation standards.

  • - Formulate discharge plans, including resource utilization and community referrals.

  • Evaluate care plan effectiveness and document goal attainment.

  • Actively participate in unit-based and organizational quality management and improvement initiatives.



- Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, and families.


- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures safely and efficiently.


- Use equipment and observe infection control protocols.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Experience: Prior experience not required unless specified for certain specialty areas.
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
