Job Description:

Summary of Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and assist with data collection and reporting for Iron Mining industry

  • Conducting and managing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)

  • Conducting and managing building hazardous material assessments

  • Managing Phase II ESAs and related soil, vapor and groundwater contaminant investigations

  • Performing detailed cost estimates for environmental investigation and remediation projects

  • Preparing response action plans to facilitate remediation and redevelopment

  • Coordinating and directing field personnel and contractor personnel

  • Manage projects involving direct client and/or regulatory communications.

  • Data evaluation and report preparation




Required Skills:



  • Ability to read and independently analyze and interpret technical reports, technical guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental contamination

  • Strong technical writings skills including written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public

  • Ability to Independently solve practical problems and manage daily project variables

  • Highly organized, attention to details

  • Manage client relationships






Required Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving history and be willing to use personal vehicle on company projects as required.

  • 5+ years related experience in environmental assessment, investigations, and remediation

  • OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper

  • MSHA safety training and iron mining industry experience preferred.
